1. Win MVP

Go big or go home, right? Antetokounmpo had a legit shot of winning the MVP award last season, but several variables stood in his way. Giannis’ play tailed off towards the end of the season, and the Bucks simply didn’t win enough. To win MVP, the player typically has to lead his team to a top-three finish in their conference.

As I alluded to earlier, with the Celtics, 76ers and Raptors improving, it’s hard to see how the Bucks to beat them out for a top-three spot. As we saw with Russell Westbrook in 2016-17, however, if Giannis has a truly special season, it may not matter where the Bucks finish in the Eastern Conference.

We can expect LeBron to be in the conversation for MVP yet again. I’m sure James Harden and Kevin Durant will both be there. It won’t be surprising to see either Joel Embiid or Ben Simmons make the jump up into the conversation. Therefore, it is imperative that Antetokounmpo elevates his production to that next level.

Overall, Giannis Antetokunmpo is already one of the best in the league. There’s no reason why he can’t enter that top-tier territory if he’s not already there. It should be an exciting season for both the Greek Freak and the Milwaukee Bucks.
