The Dallas Mavericks upgraded their roster tremendously in the offseason, and with that comes an interesting blend of talented players.

Since their inaugural season back in 1980, the Dallas Mavericks have become one of the most respected organizations in the league, and yet when it comes to their trophy case, it comes up a bit short.

Looking at their history, three players have won Sixth Man of the Year, while Jason Kidd and Dirk Nowitzki took home the Rookie of the Year and MVP trophy in 1995 and 2007, respectively.

Besides those five players, no one else has been able to claim regular season hardware in a Mavericks uniform.

The 2018-19 season should be an interesting one in Dallas. With rookie sensation Luka Doncic and free agent acquisition DeAndre Jordan joining the fold, the Mavericks have increased their chances of a postseason birth.

Those two, along with others on the roster, make up an interesting core, and while most won’t have any realistic shot at bringing home some hardware by the end of the season, there are a few Mavericks with a legitimate shot to win some of the most coveted awards.
