1. Can Mike Conley stay healthy?

For all of Mike Conley’s terrific two-way play on the court, he hasn’t proven to be all that healthy over the last few seasons. Since the beginning of the 2015-16 season, Conley has played in 56, 69 and 12 games, with a host of injuries to the lower half of his body.

Conley has developed into one of the more underrated floor generals in the game, simultaneously becoming arguably Memphis’ best and most valuable player with performances like the 35 points, nine rebounds and eight assists he had in the 2017 NBA Playoffs.

If Memphis wants any shot at the postseason in 2019, Conley’s health will be crucial.  Not only has he evolved into a go-to scorer, but his elite perimeter defense is something the Grizzlies will need against the revolving door of elite playmakers they’ll face on a nightly basis out West.

Should he stay relatively healthy, Memphis will have a puncher’s chance at sneaking into the playoffs. If not, then the results may wind up similar to the previous season.
