Following a summer period of considerable inactivity, here’s a look at the complete 2018 offseason grades for the Miami Heat.

With summer now turned to spring, the commencement of NBA training camps are just a matter of weeks away.

In the case of many teams, these next few weeks will be an opportune time to integrate their new arrivals. However in the case of the Miami Heat, it will be primarily business as usual.

Despite the usual flurry of activity around the league this summer, the Heat will be returning with virtually the same ensemble that won 44 games en route to a first-round playoff exit at the hands of the Philadelphia 76ers.

At present, the main lingering question is the status of Dwyane Wade. Having returned to the team midway through last season, Wade demonstrated flashes that indicated it would be likely he would return to the Heat for a 16th season in the league.

However, despite both parties seemingly keen on continuing their partnership this upcoming season, his status has yet to be resolved.

Overall, the major activity from the Heat this offseason has consisted of the re-signing of sharpshooter Wayne Ellington and the signing of former two-way player Derrick Jones Jr.

Furthermore, the team has signed Briante Weber, Jarnell Stokes and Marcus Lee to non-guaranteed one-year deals.

With this in mind, here’s a more in-depth look at these signings.
