Sixth Man of the Year: Jordan Bell

This is actually more likely than many people may think.

Jordan Bell has had an entire season to improve off of his rookie campaign in which he proved to be effective in small spurts. His high energy is something that the Warriors and fans loved to see.

His motor matches the likes of Draymond Green and his athletic build makes his potential frightening to opposing teams.

Bell has a ton of raw potential as he continues to develop as a player. During the games he started last season, Bell averaged 7.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game.

Learning under the wings of the star veteran players on this roster should do him wonders as he enters his second season.

A huge reason Bell could win this award is due to the fact that DeMarcus Cousins will be missing a chunk of the upcoming season. This means Bell will likely be the replacement for Cousins as he recovers from his injuries.

Starting in a few games will boost his numbers and increase his chance of winning the award.

The award is called the “Sixth Man of the Year” and is meant to honor players who come off the bench. Players can still start a significant amount of games and win the award, however, because the only qualification is that they start less than half of the games in which they play.

Having the benefit of starting in a few games and also playing big minutes off the bench will be huge for Bell. He certainly isn’t a frontrunner for the award, but his name could end up in the conversation.
