1. Average 2.0 assists per game

Sticking with the offensive theme, the last and most important goal is what Gobert does with the ball in his hands.

The Stifle Tower has averaged 1.2 assists per game for his career and put up 1.4 assists per game last season, just shy of his career-high 1.5 dimes per game back in 2015-16.

Gobert’s 1.2 assists per game would have tied him for 26th among all qualified centers if he had played more games (specifically with Kosta Koufos, Alex Len, Eric Moreland, Steven Adams and Dwight Powell). With all due respect to the aforementioned players, Gobert is better than most of them. Stats don’t always tell the whole story, but he should almost always be ahead of those players on the leaderboards and round out this weaker area of his game.

If Rudy Gobert is able to average just one more assist per game (obviously more is better, but these goals should be realistic), Utah’s offense could take another leap.
