Philadelphia 76ers: 3 goals for Robert Covington in 2018-19
By Derek Hryn
Robert Covington will look to begin his 2018-19 campaign as the Philadelphia 76ers’ starting small forward. Here are a few goals for the 27-year-old in his sixth NBA season.
Robert Covington is coming off an interesting year with the Philadelphia 76ers.
He and the 76ers mutually agreed to a four-year, $62 million contract extension last November due to the improvement he put on display in the first 14 games of the season.
His red-hot shooting at the beginning of the last year played a large factor into that as well. Covington was on a tear before the extension that not many expected, where he averaged 16.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.
Although these numbers regressed as the year went on, his production on the other side of the ball would earn him NBA All-Defensive First Team honors.
He will also have some much-needed relief off the bench at the wing this season, as the team acquired the services of veteran Wilson Chandler in July.
With that being said, here are three goals for Robert Covington in 2018-19.
