The Philadelphia 76ers had a strategic offseason as they look to improve as a unit. Here are three big questions heading into 2018-19.

The Philadelphia 76ers entered last year’s season with tons of promise and for the most part, things worked out.

They finished with 52 victories during the regular season, a 24-game swing from the 28 wins they pulled off during the 2016-17 regular season. Philadelphia made it to the Eastern Conference semifinals in the 2018 NBA Playoffs before falling in five games to the Boston Celtics, showing that although they’ve got talent, there are still some holes to fill.

Since then, they’ve acquired veteran wing Wilson Chandler, a solid 3-and-D player whose time seemed to be running out with the Denver Nuggets. He was on the trade block for much of the season, although the team was unable to trade him until the offseason for next to nothing. His arrival gives the Sixers an added dimension on the defensive end, but time will tell if it’s enough for the bigger picture.

Aside from Chandler, the core of the Sixers remains relatively intact. Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid are ready to lead the way, while a healthy Markelle Fultz looks to become a solid contributor off the bench next season. Here’s a look at three big questions facing the Philadelphia 76ers heading into 2018-19.
