19. Enes Kanter, New York Knicks

With Kristaps Porzingis out for the season, Enes Kanter is the most sensible option to start at the 5, especially after opting in for the last year of his contract. In a lost season, Kanter will probably put up even better numbers than he did last year when he started all 71 games.

The New York Knicks aren’t going to be good, but from an individual level, Kanter has a good chance of improving on the 14.1 points and 11.0 rebounds per game he averaged in 2017-18. He also shot a career-high 59.2 percent from the floor.

The 26-year-old vet is a notoriously poor defender, but again, expectations for the upcoming season rely entirely upon when Porzingis returns to action. Kanter found a good fit for himself in the Big Apple, and even if he doesn’t have a long-term future there, he’ll be able to put up solid (albeit empty) numbers.
