Last season, Jaylen Brown took a big leap forward for his Boston Celtics. What should he be focusing on during his next campaign?

Danny Ainge and the Boston Celtics have a knack for acquiring talented wings. Jaylen Brown can make Ainge look like an even bigger genius by progressing further during his third NBA season. Before delving into what goals Brown should prioritize, it’s useful to acknowledge what he did well last season.

Brown’s development from his rookie to sophomore year was exactly what fans wanted to see. During his initial NBA season, Brown demonstrated promise as a 3-point shooter, despite not taking a high number of triples. Last year, Brown drilled 39.5 percent of his 3-pointers and did so on 4.4 attempts per game. If you wanted consistency, you found it.

Besides being a proving ground for his 3-point ability, last season the Boston Celtics also tested his versatility. According to Basketball-Reference.com, Brown’s rookie season saw him spend 74 percent of his minutes at small forward, and the remaining 26 percent of minutes at power forward. Last year, he spent the majority of minutes playing shooting guard. It is safe to say that Brown is one of the more pliable wings this league has to offer.

Of course, he could stand to improve in some areas, as will be detailed. Yet, not all goals have to revolve around refining areas of struggles. So, what are the three particular goals Jaylen Brown should have listed on his vision board for 2018-19?
