27. Marvin Williams, Charlotte Hornets

Marvin Williams is a veteran stretch-4 who knocked down 41.3 percent of his 3s last year. He’s a career 36.1 percent shooter from deep, plays decent enough defense and would be a welcome addition to any contender thanks to his experience and established skill-set.

However, that’s kind of the point: Marvin Williams probably wouldn’t start for a better team at this point in his career. He’s been a model of consistency, playing in at least 76 games in each of the last four years, but his numbers dipped to 9.5 points and 4.7 rebounds per game last year.

In short, Marvin Williams is yet another good but not great player preventing the Charlotte Hornets from going anywhere. He turned 32 over the summer, and with one year and a $15 million player option still left on his contract, it’s hard to see many teams being interested in trading for him, which just lends itself to this team’s inability to clean house or improve internally.
