15. Thaddeus Young, Indiana Pacers

Thaddeus Young is yet another quiet impact player, providing value on both ends for the NBA’s pleasant surprise team of the season. Though the Indiana Pacers went home in the first round, winning 48 games and taking LeBron James to the brink in a seven-game series was far more than anyone expected.

Young was an instrumental part of that success, though his 11.8 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game might not indicate it. Young is a versatile defender, a real threat in transition and after opting in for the last season of his contract, still has a lot to give this blossoming team.

The downside is Young just turned 30 over the summer and shot only 32 percent from 3-point range last year. If he can bounce back to the 38.1 percent he shot from distance the year before, he should have more than enough juice left in his prime to warrant a ranking in the top half of the league’s power forwards.
