Most Improved Player of the Year: Cedi Osman

Cedi Osman is probably the player that Cleveland Cavaliers fans are most excited about. After spending an entire season under the influence of arguably the best small forward of all-time, Cedi is now ready to prove that he is not just a role player on this team.

Will we see “Jedi” get the starting small forward spot in the 2018-19 season? Even though it is coach Lue’s decision, after watching his Summer League performances, as well as the way he led Turkey in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 European qualifiers, nobody can question his efficiency and what he brings to a team.

Last season, Osman averaged 3.9 points and 2.0 rebounds in 11 minutes per game. He shot 48.4 percent from the field and 36.8 percent from behind the arc while playing 61 games throughout the season.

Now looking to make his big leap in the NBA, he’s a serious candidate for the Most Improved Player of the Year award, not just among the Cleveland Cavaliers, but also when you size him up against other candidates.
