Utah Jazz: Best candidates for 2018-19 NBA awards

Sixth Man of the Year: Dante Exum
The Sixth Man of the Year goes to the player that primarily comes off the bench. Like his rookie teammate Grayson Allen, barring an injury to Donovan Mitchell or Ricky Rubio, Dante Exum will primarily be coming off the bench next season. For the Jazz, that may best for both parties involved.
Dante Exum has all the tools to be a starting guard in this league. He hasn’t been able to claim that role due to the nagging injury bug that won’t leave him alone. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a lot to offer.
Per 36 minutes, his 17.5 points per game, 6.6 assists per game and 4.0 rebounds per game would have ranked 10th, tied for eighth and tied for 13th among point guards’ regular averages, respectively.
The Jazz get to bring a 6’6″ player with a 6’9″ wingspan off the bench. Not bad.
Odds: Better than people think
