2. C.J. Miles

C.J. Miles’ situation is similar to that of Powell. There are just too many mouths to feed on the wing, and not enough minutes available for players like Miles to be fully utilized.

So instead of allowing him to ride the pine too often, the Raptors could choose to move Miles and the $8.3 million remaining on his contract. They aren’t tied to the small forward after trading for him a season ago, and don’t have as much need for him with Leonard and Danny Green now on the roster.

From a buyer’s perspective, though, Miles offers more than enough intrigue to at least kick the tires.

An explosive scorer who has nailed 41.4 percent of his career shots, Miles was a valuable bench asset for the Raptors a season ago. Averaging 10 points per game despite seeing only 19.1 minutes per contest, he found ways to make his presence felt. Although he doesn’t offer much value elsewhere, he can certainly give a second unit some juice in the scoring department.

Potential takers may be turned off by Miles’ 2019-20 player option. However, he’s a plus scoring threat who can provide a spark off the bench. If a contender is looking for a point creator, Miles could probably be had for an expiring contract and a draft pick.
