If Toronto Raptors trade rumors end up becoming real deals in the coming months, expect one of these three players to be included in the final details of the swap.

The Toronto Raptors are at a crossroads. On the surface, the offseason acquisition of Kawhi Leonard has them looking like contenders for 2018-19. If it turns out they aren’t as competitive as originally expected, though, the Raptors could soon be victimized by an onslaught of trade rumors.

Let’s not pretend like there isn’t the potential for things to south in the North. If Leonard isn’t all-in on being a superstar for the Raptors, that massive gamble could come back to bite this franchise. In that instance, it may be best to start selling the pieces off in hopes of getting ahead of a future rebuild. Especially with a couple of overpriced contracts on the books, unloading money will also be a priority.

As a result, general manager Masai Ujuri could decide to pull the trigger on a trade or two if Leonard doesn’t pan out or is banged up again.

If that happens, who could be the players involved in said trade(s)? By taking a look at the Raptors’ top potential trade chips, we’ll be better prepared for the trade rumors that are sure to crop up when the 2019 deadline nears.

So without further ado, let’s take a look at the three players who seem most likely to be dealt in 2018-19. There’s no guarantee Toronto swings a trade, but anything can happen in today’s unpredictable NBA landscape.
