Oklahoma City Thunder: 3 goals for Dennis Schroder in 2018-19
1. Help the Thunder late in games
There were some games that the Thunder gave up late last year. The meltdown against the Boston Celtics late in the season was a big example. The Celtics were able to come back from six points down in the final 25 seconds after the Thunder had free throw issues.
Adding Dennis Schroder can fix this problem. He can be called on to make free throws late in games as a career 82.7 percent free throw shooter, which will help OKC finally finish games.
Down the stretch, the Thunder had problems making shots. Schroder is not a go-to shot-maker, but what he can do is get easy baskets, and that will help the Thunder greatly.
With Paul George and Russell Westbrook out there late in games, the eyes will sag off Schroder and he will be able to get layups and shots at the rim. If the Thunder needed a player to help give them a boost late in games, they have one in Dennis Schroder.
