6. Otto Porter Jr., Washington Wizards

This is a big season for Otto Porter Jr., who is not only entering the second year of his massively inflated contract, but has also failed to become that undisputed answer to the Washington Wizards‘ Big 3 question. In his sixth NBA season, it’s time to become a star.

With that being said, even if Porter hasn’t become a rock-solid third member of the team’s Big 3 just yet, he’s still one of the NBA’s best two-way wings. He’s also drastically improved most areas of his game since looking like a draft bust for his first couple of seasons in the league.

Last year, Porter posted 14.7 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game while shooting a blistering 44.1 percent from 3-point range. All of those numbers were career highs, and his length is useful on the defensive end too. In 2018-19, the Wizards will need him to take yet another jump toward stardom if they want to seriously challenge for the Eastern crown.
