30. Justin Jackson, Sacramento Kings

Justin Jackson didn’t have a bad rookie season, but he certainly wasn’t good for one of the NBA’s worst teams either. At this point, he wouldn’t be a starting-caliber player for even a semi-respectable team, but thanks to the lack of wing depth on the Sacramento Kings, he’ll probably be the de facto starter again in 2017-18.

Last year, Jackson averaged 6.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game on 44.2 percent shooting from the field and 30.8 percent shooting from 3-point range — understandably mediocre numbers for a rookie being eased into the action, but certainly not encouraging for someone who started in 41 of his 68 games.

On the bright side, Jackson had a very strong NBA Summer League, posting 19.0 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in Las Vegas. Now he’ll just need to prove he can enjoy even half that kind of success against real NBA competition, because if he can’t, the Kings might want to consider trying Buddy Hield and Bogdan Bogdanovic together on the wings instead.
