Coming off a surprise postseason berth last season, the Indiana Pacers have some things to work out in order to become one of the elite teams in the NBA.

The Indiana Pacers surprised many in 2017-18 with a playoff berth and a performance that saw them take the eventual Eastern Conference champion Cleveland Cavaliers to seven games in the opening round.

Victor Oladipo emerged as an All-Star during his first go-around in Indiana, while many others showed tremendous upside moving forward.

Following a few solid additions in free agency, the Pacers will look to assert themselves even more in 2019, thwarting the notion that the East is simply a three-team race.

Given that the team has elevated its level of play far quicker than most predicted, it’s time to start looking at Indiana through the lens of a perennial playoff contender rather than a lottery-bound organization.

With such an image comes questions for this Pacers squad, ones that will shape their play in the upcoming 2018-19 season and will likely play a massive role in how far they can advance when the playoffs begin in April.
