2. Will Donovan Mitchell become the superstar this team needs?

The Jazz’s offensive and defensive game plans are centered on team basketball and stifling opponents with their physicality. However, to have championship aspirations in the NBA, a superstar is required.

The Jazz have great role players, such as Ricky Rubio, Derrick Favors and Joe Ingles. They have a defensive anchor and stud big man down low in Rudy Gobert. If he can progress further and take a second-year leap towards stardom, Donovan Mitchell will be the superstar and go-to player this team needs.

He will be the guy with the ball in his hands during crucial moments of a game and will be trusted to make winning plays. He was a 20-points-per-game scorer last season and has room to grow. If he continues this dominant play, while becoming more efficient and improving his defense and playmaking, he can lead the Jazz to new heights.

With the way the Western Conference is shaping up these days, Utah needs Mitchell to take this step and become its leader.
