3. Regain shooting confidence

Fultz was drafted first overall for the glossy shooting and scoring ability he put on display in college — something he didn’t utilize in his short time on the court last season.

Similar to fellow point guard and former No. 1 overall selection Ben Simmons, Fultz didn’t release one single jumper from beyond the arc. He shot 40.9 percent from the field, which wasn’t very encouraging when you consider that all of his attempts were split up between layups, dunks and mid-range jumpers. He must reach a new level of scoring efficiency if he wants to become one of the main weapons in the lineup.

Fultz shot with full confidence at the University of Washington, prior to his time in Philly.

It’s obvious that the jumper he used so effectively at Washington is still somewhere in existence, but he must find a way to recover it this season. The time he spent with Hanlen this past summer should improve the possibility.
