The Portland Trail Blazers added four new players to the team this summer, and one of them was free agent guard Seth Curry. What are some goals for Curry’s first season in Portland?

The Portland Trail Blazers made some moves to the roster this offseason, and arguably their best one was adding Seth Curry. Portland signed Curry to a one-year, $2.7 million contract this summer. Portland let its backup point guard from last season, Shabazz Napier, leave in free agency and added Curry to fill that role.

Curry will now be playing for his sixth team in his career. In his first two seasons, he only appeared in four games total. The last two seasons, he has played a more prominent role on the teams he was on and appeared in a total of 114 games.

He had his best year in the league with the Dallas Mavericks during the 2016-17 season. Curry averaged 12.8 points. 2.7 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 29 minutes per game while shooting 48.1 percent from the field and 42.5 percent from the 3-point line. Curry played in 70 games and started 42 of them.

He did miss the entire 2017-18 year recovering from leg surgery before the start of the season. Curry is still just 28 and is going into his fifth season. He will be joining the Blazers looking to get back to the type of play he was at before the Injury. Curry has been posting on social media about his recovery process, and it looks like he will be ready to go for training camp this year. Here are three goals for Seth Curry in his first season with the Blazers.
