2. Reach the NBA Finals

The organization has surrounded Embiid with a plethora of talent on the roster, which should be enough to make them a serious contender once again this season — perhaps worthy of an NBA Finals appearance.

The Celtics are one of the more notable teams that could stand in their way once again this season. Philly lost 4-1 in its second round series against Boston, preventing the Sixers from reaching the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Celtics will have two stars returning in Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward, which will make the task an even greater one in 2018-19. For the 76ers to compete with their depth, they need everybody healthy.

With LeBron James now playing in the Western Conference, the East is now wide open for the first time in eight years. The Sixers and Embiid will be good enough to make a run at the Eastern Conference title, but they need all of the pieces to fall into place.
