In his rookie season, Terrance Ferguson was not able to find much success for the Oklahoma City Thunder. However, he did show some promise in 2017-18.

The Oklahoma City Thunder drafted Terrance Ferguson with their first round pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. He was able to show some promise and some flashes, but was otherwise ineffective in his rookie season.

While other rookies like Ben Simmons, Jayson Tatum and Donovan Mitchell showed signs of stardom in their first seasons, Ferguson was not able to enjoy that kind of success.

Before coming to the NBA, Ferguson played for the Adelaide 36ers, an NBL team based in Australia. He averaged only 4.6 points, 1.2 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game. Before that, Ferguson was one of the best players in the class of 2016, and right now it is looking like a short stint in college would have done him some good.

While he has professional basketball experience before coming to the NBA, Ferguson was not very success in the league and some college coaching could have helped.

All that is said and done, however, and Ferguson was still picked in the first round. With his first NBA season under his belt, here’s a look back at his rookie year.
