23. Trey Burke, New York Knicks

Trey Burke only started in nine of his 36 appearances for the New York Knicks last year, and no matter which of those numbers you look at, his stats should be taken with a grain of salt because of the small sample size.

However, the Knicks might not have a better option at the point between Burke, Emmanuel Mudiay and Ron Baker, and Frank Ntilikina might be more of a 2-guard. If head coach David Fizdale agrees, the 25-year-old Burke makes the most sense as the team tries to find its bearings with Kristaps Porzingis still on the mend.

Burke has had an underwhelming career for the most part, but burst onto the scene last year in the Big Apple, averaging 12.8 points and 4.7 assists per game on .503/.362/.649 shooting splits. In those nine starts, his numbers shot up to 18.7 points and 7.7 assists per game, so he’s definitely worth a look despite his lack of size, defense and proven track record.
