13. Ricky Rubio, Utah Jazz

Do you remember where you were when Ricky Rubio outplayed Russell Westbrook in not one, but two straight playoff games? Because even if you don’t, that’s a real thing that happened. Not bad for a point guard people once labeled as soft, a draft bust and a non-threat on offense.

Though he only shot 41.8 percent from the field, Rubio enjoyed a career year with the Utah Jazz, posting a career-high 13.1 points, 5.3 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game. He also shot a respectable 35.2 percent from 3-point range (another career high) and brought his trademark underrated defense.

Rubio only has one year left on his contract in Utah, but that means he could be even better in 2018-19. If he can be a little more efficient from 2-point range, keep his 3-point shooting level and continue to be a more well-rounded threat on offense, another year of familiarity with this young, promising core will do him well.
