19. Reggie Jackson, Detroit Pistons
Reggie Jackson is a flawed and injury-prone point guard, but there’s no question he makes the Detroit Pistons better when he’s fully healthy and isn’t constantly trying to shake off rust. He could either climb higher up this list or fall back a few spots depending on his health in 2018-19.
Last year, Jackson averaged 14.6 points and 5.3 assists per game in his 45 appearances — numbers more or less consistent with his stat line from the season before, when he only played in 52 games.
However, his 3-point shooting dipped to 30.8 percent, and the last two seasons have been a far cry from the 18.8 points and 6.2 assists per game he posted in his first and only healthy season with the team. Jackson is the missing element that could make or break the Pistons’ playoff hopes, but until he proves he can stay healthy, this is as far as he climbs.
