1. Kyle Korver

At this moment, Kyle Korver is the Cavaliers’ most tradeable asset that doesn’t carry a ridiculous contract. That’s why the 3-point specialist finds himself atop this list as we head toward the end of August.

It helps that Cleveland is open to moving Korver — for the right price. Here’s what Cleveland.com’s Joe Vardon had to say about the situation, via the “Wine and Gold Talk Podcast“:

"“[The Cavs] will trade [Korver] so long as they get a first round pick that they do not currently have back. The Sixers wanted to trade Jerryd Bayless straight up for Korver, which just makes absolutely no sense for the Cavs to do that right now.”"

Is it a reasonable request to expect a first round pick in return for Korver and the two years and $15 million remaining on his contract? Maybe, especially if a contender is desperate enough for some outside shooting off the bench. Realistically, though, the Cavaliers may have to wait a couple of months for a deal to materialize.

Either way, moving him for draft assets makes a ton of sense for Cleveland. Even if the Cavs make the playoffs this year, they aren’t getting anywhere near the second round. Building toward a brighter future makes far more sense than holding on to a 37-year-old sharpshooter.

There’s a very good chance Korver is gone before the 2019 NBA trade deadline passes. For what it’s worth, though, it was a good run for one of the NBA’s all-time greatest 3-point shooters.
