Washington Wizards: 3 goals for Bradley Beal in 2018-19
1. Continue to distribute consistently
Bradley Beal dished out a career-high 373 assists during the 2017-18 season. When Wall went down, Beal didn’t hesitate to add distributor to his set of skills on offense. The Wizards will need more of that from him during the 2018-19 season if they hope to be successful.
He’s more than just a 3-point shooter and he proved that this past season. Now, he’ll just need to remain consistent in that regard. The Washington Wizards have a nice combination of youth and veterans for this upcoming season. They’ll need to mesh from a chemistry perspective if they hope to finish atop the East. That comes with sharing the ball on offense while understanding each others’ roles.
Beal put up 6.7 assists per game during the month of February. The Wizards went 8-4 during that stretch. Head coach Scott Brooks earned the Eastern Conference Coach of the Month award, but not enough was said about Beal’s ability to get others involved on offense. It should be an added point of emphasis with so much potential heading into a new season.
