Bradley Beal emerged as the Washington Wizards’ unsung hero in 2017-18. Here’s a look at three goals for 2018-19 as he looks to build on that success.

The Washington Wizards‘ season took a huge hit when John Wall was sidelined for an extended amount of time due to injury. That didn’t seem to affect shooting guard Bradley Beal much though, as he embraced the role as scorer and distributor during the 2017-18 season.

Beal stepped up big for Washington, appearing in a career-high 82 contests in his sixth season in the league. He put up 22.6 points per game, seeing a slight dip in his numbers given the added volume shooting.

Beal also posted a career-high four double-doubles and set a new career-high in points with 52 against the Portland Trail Blazers on Dec. 5. He then recorded a career-high 11 assists on March 4 against the Indiana Pacers. Not too shabby for a guy expected to just be a good 3-point shooter.

Entering the 2018-19 season, there will be a lot less pressure on Beal to do so much. Wall, Otto Porter Jr. and Markieff Morris are all healthy entering training camp. The addition of Dwight Howard gives Wall and Beal a solid piece to have in the pick-and-roll game. The odds are in the Wizards’ favor this upcoming season.

Bearing all this in mind, here’s a look at three goals for Bradley Beal in 2018-19.
