3. Dejounte Murray

Dejounte Murray already had a mini-breakout last year after taking over as the full-time starter at point guard. Now with some experience as a starter under his belt, he could be poised to take an even bigger leap.

Murray is already a great defender and an incredible rebounder for a point guard. This year, he has to master the offensive side of the game to become a more complete player.

His shooting from deep needs major improvement, but it doesn’t have to come all in one year. He could stand to tighten his handle and progress as a playmaker for himself as well as others.

Overall, he’s shown flashes of greatness already in his young career. He is the best young player on the San Antonio Spurs at the moment, and he should only get better from here.

Even if Murray doesn’t have a breakout season where he becomes a low-tier star, he should still improve at least incrementally at his young age.
