The Oklahoma City Thunder’s season was not as great as expected, but there are a few players that could have breakout seasons in 2018-19.

The Oklahoma City Thunder finished the 2017-18 season in the fourth spot in the Western Conference standings. This ending did not reflect how the season went for the Thunder, however.

There were games where the ball seemed to stick and shots were not falling, and the team wound up being eliminated in six games in the first round of the playoffs. This year could be different with a new-look team for OKC.

The Thunder were able to re-sign Paul George, which was their biggest signing of the summer. Now with George on board for the long-term, the Thunder will be able to continue their plans to build a contender.

After a subpar season, OKC traded away Carmelo Anthony and will now look to move forward without him. The Thunder added players like Dennis Schroder, Nerlens Noel and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot that will help them this year.

The bench is looking better and with Andre Roberson eyeing a December return, the starting lineup that was so great defensively last year will look to get back to where it was before he went down for the year.

OKC had players that had great seasons last year, but weren’t quite enough to take the Thunder to a new level. Here are three players that will look to capitalize on great seasons and enjoy breakout years in 2018-19.
