Jabari Parker will fit in nicely with coach Fred Hoiberg’s offensive scheme, but he wont necessarily address the Chicago Bulls’ defensive gaps.

Most NBA draft lotteries are littered with unexpected success stories throughout. Guys like Devin Booker or Donovan Mitchell in recent times help to prove that fruitful NBA careers don’t only have to come from top-three selections.

In the case of 2014, however, second overall selection Jabari Parker is a peculiar case within these guidelines. When he has played, he has lived up to all the hype that was once heaped on him as a one-and-done Duke University product before declaring for the NBA Draft.

However, after two brutal ACL tears to the same knee in just four years, despite career stats of 15.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game, he isn’t as elite of an option for a scoring forward as he should be.

The Milwaukee Bucks, when faced with the option to re-sign or let him walk this summer, let the young Parker slip away to the Chicago Bulls for nothing.

While they should be sorry to let a true potential asset go for nothing, is the Chicago native combo forward the missing piece the Chicago Bulls have been looking for? Here’s a look at his potential fit with the Bulls after signing a two-year, $40 million deal over the summer.
