Philadelphia 76ers: 8 ways to make the 2019 NBA Finals

2. Markelle Fultz finds his game
If Markelle Fultz can somehow fix his game and play like the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, the 76ers may not need to much else. It would add a third star to an already potent lineup.
One of the reasons the 76ers traded up to get the University of Washington star with the first pick was his smooth jump shot that he was able to pull up and make from 10-to-25 feet. When Fultz reached the NBA, that jump shot disappeared.
He could still handle. He still had great court awareness. He could still thread a pass. He just couldn’t shoot.
Some said it was a mysterious injury. Others said he had the “yips,” whatever that means. Still others claimed psychological problems. Whatever it was, it pushed a #1 pick with a world of promise to watch most 76ers game from the bench wearing a suit and tie.
None of that matters now. The only question now that matters: Is it fixed?
After spending time with the basketball’s preeminent shooting guru, Drew Hanlon, it was decreed that Fulktz’s shot is fine.
In fact, Drew Hanlon told Fox Sports 1:
"“I literally think that if he’s back to 100 percent, I think he’s immediately an All-Star. I know that’s a bold statement, but I work with a lot of other All-Stars, so I think I have the right to say that.”"
Of course, we still need to see it. But if Fultz makes the All-Star team, the Sixers make the Eastern Conference finals and maybe beyond.
