Best-Case Scenario

The Celtics have high expectations for themselves this season and there is every reason to be excited. Last season, they were the top team in the Eastern Conference for the majority of the season, but after awhile the injuries were too much.

The Celtics are going to get a whole lot scarier this season if everyone can stay healthy. They get back a healthy Hayward and Irving this season, there’s another year of experience for Brown and Tatum. Plus, Horford is the anchor of the team and could arguably be the most important player.

The best-case scenario is for Boston to win the NBA Finals. It’s hard to think of anyone getting past the Golden State Warriors, even more now after they’ve signed DeMarcus Cousins to a one-year deal.

But, the Celtics do have a real chance at winning the NBA Finals. Their starting lineup is stacked and unlike most teams, they have the most untapped potential yet to be discovered. That’s simply because they weren’t able to perform at full strength because of injuries.

There will also be more experience for Brown and Tatum, who are already at a borderline All-Star level.

If all those things come together, it’s not out of the question that they could compete against the Warriors or any team that makes it out of the Western Conference gauntlet. Their defense is elite and that alone is enough to win championships.
