Philadelphia 76ers: Ranking the value of each current player
By Derek Hryn
6. Robert Covington
Robert Covington survived the offseason hysteria, and will be back in the red, white and blue colors this season.
His name was thrown around innumerably in trade rumors this summer, but the Sixers ultimately decided to hang on to the 27-year-old wing.
Coming off a season where he received NBA All-Defensive Team honors, he has all of the physical tools of a 3-and-D player in the NBA. He is 6’9″ with a 7’2″ wingspan, and his game consists of a steady balance of shooting and athleticism.
He will, however, need to generate more consistency and creativity on offense to help the team compete for a title.
