18. Norvel Pelle

Norvel Pelle was able to land himself a camp invitation, following his NBA Summer League stint with the 76ers.

Pelle didn’t have the most star power on the Sixers’ summer squad this past July, but he did make his presence known when he was given some looks. The 25-year-old big man averaged 7.4 points and 4.2 rebounds over 13.8 minutes per game in his five appearances.

He is a member of the Lebanese national team, and has played most recently in Italy, Lebanon and Taiwan. His athleticism and shot-blocking ability were the two things that really separated him from his peers this summer, and he should be able to bring that same tenacity into training camp.

17. Demetrius Jackson

The 76ers refused to part ways with Demetrius Jackson this offseason, re-signing the Notre Dame product to a two-way contract late last month. Similar to last season, he will be with Philly’s G League affiliate Delaware Blue Coats.

Jackson signed a two-way deal in January and found his way onto the floor in three games for the Sixers this past season. In 26 games played in the G League last year, he averaged 14.7 points, 4.5 assists and 3.7 rebounds a night.

It is likely that Jackson’s name will only be called upon in times of injury next season, seeing as how the team has its point guard rotation pretty well mapped out,  His professional experience should keep him in consideration while he starts the year off in Delaware, as he undertook a quality leadership role with the Sixers during Summer League this offseason.

16. Jerryd Bayless

It’s safe to say that Jerryd Bayless has served his purpose in Philadelphia, so one can only speculate when the 76ers plan to dismiss him from the roster.

The 30-year-old point guard has rarely spent time on the floor for the Sixers in the past two seasons, but he has been an exemplary veteran mentor for the team’s young backcourt.

Since coming to Philly in 2016, Bayless has appeared in just 42 games. Now playing on the expiring year of his contract, the Sixers will either waive him or seek out a possible trade.

Reports have circulated that the team could be working on sending Bayless to the Cleveland Cavaliers for a Kyle Korver reunion in the City of Brotherly Love. No matter which route they end up taking, it is possible that Bayless won’t be with the team much longer.
