Overall

Making zero moves after falling to the Boston Celtics in the postseason would have been bad for business, so it’s good the Philadelphia 76ers were busy as an organization this past offseason. They lost out on landing Kawhi Leonard or LeBron James, but they still managed to acquire Wilson Chandler using cap space they had already. Philadelphia didn’t trade away its picks in the draft, for the most part, but they acquired prospects that fit their style of play.

With a G League squad (Delaware Blue Coats) emerging for the 2018-19 season, Philadelphia did well to improve its prospects of fielding a competitive team. The Sixers’ stable of youth is one of the best in the NBA so it helps to see the trickle-down effect it’s had on the rest of the organization.

Head coach Brett Brown should have all the confidence in the world heading into next season. His team is healthy and acquired a number of quality veterans that can contribute in 2018-19. They’ll look to compete as the best team in the East with LeBron James now in the West, so expect them to contend for the conference title.
