Norvel Pelle signing

The Philadelphia 76ers didn’t have the greatest Summer League squad, but that doesn’t mean they didn’t have any peak performers. The Sixers signed 6’11” big man Norvel Pelle to a contract after his performance with their team this past summer. Pelle produced 7.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game through five appearances.

He spent this past season playing overseas for two different clubs. He appeared in 19 games with OpenJobMetis Varese, averaging 5.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game. For Fiat Torino, he put up 6.8 points and 4.0 rebounds per contest through 10 appearances.

Pelle showed off his ability to run the floor and protect the rim this summer with the Sixers’ front office watching. He did enough to earn a contract, but he’ll have his work cut out for him earning a spot on the roster in 2018-19.
