The Philadelphia 76ers had an interesting 2018 offseason on their search for an All-Star. In the end, their roster is still intact as we look at overall grades.

The Philadelphia 76ers came up short in their bid for an NBA title last season when they lost in five games to the Boston Celtics in the second round of the playoffs.

Head coach Brett Brown spoke of pursuing a high-level player this past offseason in exit interviews. That hope almost came to fruition as Philadelphia emerged as a potential landing spot for Kawhi Leonard and LeBron James, but ultimately, Leonard was moved to the Toronto Raptors. and the King signed with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Sixers’ consolation prize became acquiring Wilson Chandler in a trade with the Denver Nuggets. The savvy veteran will bring a solid defensive presence to a roster in need of more depth on the wing. Chandler wasn’t the only forward they acquired on the trade market either. They also acquired Mike Muscala in a three-team deal involving the Atlanta Hawks and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Philadelphia also acquired its fair share of talent through the 2018 NBA Draft. The team selected three new players in the draft, hoping to add more talent to its already young core of Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid and Markelle Fultz. The Sixers held Fultz out of NBA Summer League, but there’s no need to rush considering they re-signed veteran sharpshooter J.J. Redick to another one-year deal.

Here’s a look at the overall grades of the Philadelphia 76ers’ moves during the 2018 offseason.
