Michael Dugger returns with another episode of the Hoops Habit Podcast and begins his divisional summer reviews with the Southeast Division.

With all of the NBA teams seemingly set with their rosters, Hoops Habit‘s Michael Dugger is back with the Hoops Habit Podcast to review the summers of each NBA team. For this exercise, Dugger will go division by division and spend roughly five minutes on all 30 NBA franchises.

He starts off with the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference, which has been one of the worst divisions over the last the couple of seasons. Dugger begins at the top of the division, discussing the lack of moves the Miami Heat performed (1:45). He discusses the importance of their young players improving quickly, such as Justise Winslow (3:30). He concludes the Heat conversation by exploring the rest of their roster, including Hassan Whiteside returning to form (6:52).

Next, he dives into the Washington Wizards (10:01) and their roster moves of bringing in Dwight Howard, Jeff Green and Austin Rivers. But, as always, the health of John Wall is the most important aspect of their season (12:05), and whether they finally have their talent click at once.

After the Wizards comes the Charlotte Hornets, who changed their coach and hope to change their style of play under James Borrego (15:50). Outside of playing their young talent, how quickly will the Kemba Walker trade talks resurface (19:10)?

The conversation then moves back to the Sunshine State to talk about the Orlando Magic and their twin towers (21:00). The conversation pretty much doesn’t leave Jonathan Isaac and Mohamed Bamba.

The Southeast Division summer review ends with the Atlanta Hawks, as Dugger dissects their shocking draft-day trade and other offseason moves (25:50). He finds excitement in their youthful, athletic roster that may not win games, but will definitely be worth tuning in to watch on a weekly basis (30:00).
