As the Denver Nuggets look to return to the playoffs in the upcoming 2018-19 campaign, there are three main questions that will define their season.

After falling short on the last night of the 2017-18 regular season, the Denver Nuggets retained several key players and added talent to their rotation in the hopes of finally returning to the playoffs in the upcoming 2018-19 campaign.

Despite dealing with key injuries and having a core of young, inexperienced players, Denver was able to fight through adversity during the latter stages of the regular season. Perhaps more importantly, the Nuggets saw all of their young players take another step in their development, starting with Nikola Jokic, who continued his rise to stardom.

Jamal Murray and Gary Harris both continued on their development paths, increasing their statistical performance and building chemistry alongside Jokic to form one of the most intriguing and talented young cores in the NBA.

Unfortunately for Denver, the excuse of inexperience won’t be enough to save them (and more specifically, head coach Mike Malone) if the team misses the playoffs again this year. After re-signing Jokic and Will Barton while adding Isaiah Thomas and Michael Porter Jr. (who may sit out the upcoming season), the pressure is on for the Nuggets to once again return to playoff basketball.

Therefore, it must be asked: What are the three key questions that may ultimately define Denver’s season? Let’s take a closer look.
