3. Philadelphia 76ers — March 25, 2019

  • Channel: NBA TV
  • Reason for ranking: Will this game matter by then?

On paper, this will be one of the best teams the Magic will play all year. The Sixers should be hitting their ultimate, pre-playoff stride by late March and the Magic will probably be out of it. What this does mean however, is that we will probably see a lot of minutes from Jonathan Isaac and Bamba.

Early in the season, I expect a little hesitancy from head coach Steve Clifford regarding Bamba and Isaac’s playing time. By March they should be starting or playing 28-32 minutes each and becoming focal points on offense and defense.

We could see this on full display against one of the best teams in the NBA. A Bamba-Joel Embiid matchup is going to be fun to watch as well. It looks as though Bamba and Embiid have been playing some pickup this summer. Maybe Bamba has snatched some moves from Embiid and also knows how he plays in order to secure a big win here late in the season.
