6. Charlotte Hornets — April 10, 2019

  • Channel: ESPN
  • Reason for ranking: A whole lot of second stringers playing

The likelihood that these two teams look the same from now until April are low. There have long been rumors of moves coming from both sides all offseason. By the February trade deadline, these rumors might become fact.

That is a story for another day but by April, both teams will be looking at lottery picks more than likely. What makes this game even more of a snooze-fest is that it’s the last game of the year. Expect some sitting starters and nonchalant play.

The only reason to potentially get up for this game would be to see the play of guys like Isaiah Briscoe, Wesley Iwundu and Khem Birch, as well as rookies Melvin Frazier Jr. and Justin Jackson. I hope the Magic prove me wrong and this matchup is actually important with their season coming down to the final game, but it doesn’t seem likely.
