2. Kevin Durant

Again, this seems improbable at face value. One of the best players in the NBA leaving a perennial championship-caliber franchise for a rebuilding one? Unlikely.

However, Kevin Durant is not the norm and unless you’ve been buried under a rock for the last couple years, you know the story. Durant is in the perfect situation with Golden State and with him, they would be the championship favorite every year.

That’s also sort of the problem though, right? Durant has been lambasted constantly since he left Oklahoma City for a 73-win team that he had just lost to in the Western Conference Finals. He’s really limited in terms of pressure with the Warriors. If he has a bad night, who cares? Stephen Curry or Klay Thompson should pick up the slack.

Really though, the public has shown no signs of letting up and Durant has shown little aptitude for accepting that criticism. It may be best for him in the near future to take his talents to a team that would solely lean on him to carry them to a championship.

Why not the Bulls? Chicago presents a major market, young talent and no LeBron James standing in his way in the East. Again, this seems unlikely, but if Durant is getting sick of getting called out daily for his decision, the best way to shut up his critics is to go to a team that actually needs him. Chicago could be a great fit for Durant.
