1. Shooting

The Sixers made some impactful moves this offseason building their roster, but they could certainly afford to add another off-the-bench shooter to replace veteran marksman Marco Belinelli.

Crawford doesn’t have that same consistent spark.

He shot 41.5 percent from the field last season and an underwhelming 33.1 percent from 3-point range. Though he has been deemed a selfless player by his peers, winning Teammate of the Year in 2017-18, he is just not what the Sixers need at this time.

Given the their current roster status, they already hold a sufficient balance of experience and young talent that should no longer be tampered with. Not to mention, their team chemistry is arguably the highest it’s ever been.

Having another pure shooting option off the bench really did wonders for the team last season when it added Belinelli just before entering the season’s most pivotal games — arguably the best decision the Sixers made the entire year.

There is no question that this team relies heavily on floor-spacing and defense, which should continue to be its focus if it wants to play for an NBA ring in the coming seasons. For now, the 76ers should continue their search for another role player who is capable of producing when called upon.

Jamal Crawford won’t be the last player who wants to play for Philadelphia 76ers, but that doesn’t mean he should be added to an already full roster.
