James Nunnally joins

The Minnesota Timberwolves made their next addition to the roster by adding former NBA player James Nunnally, who had played in Europe since 2014.

James Nunnally has spent some time in the NBA before, but found more success in Europe. Nunnally played the best professional season of his life in 2015-16 with Sidigas Avellino in Italy’s top division.

More from Hoops Habit

He averaged 18.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 43 games in Lega A and Italian Cup competition.

After that remarkable season, he mved to Turkey, where he played with domestic powerhouse Fenerbahce Ulker in Turkey’s top division, the BSL, and in Euroleague competition the past two seasons.

Nunnally played quite well with Fenerbahce, despite only playing in a limited role. That’s all right, though, because Nunnally will be in a limited role for the Wolves, as well. While Nunnally won’t jump off the box score with gaudy numbers, his efficiency is extremely impressive.

Last season in Euroleague play, Nunnally shot an incredibly efficient 54.0 percent from the field, 55.4 percent from 3-point range and 89.7 percent from the free-throw line in 29 games. The dude is a bona fide sharpshooter.

He wasn’t bad in 27 games in the BSL, shooting .521/.488/.885.

Like Tolliver, who knows what Nunnally’s role will be with the Wolves, but expect him to shoot the ball well when given the opportunity.
