Adding Anthony Tolliver

After agreeing to re-sign Derrick Rose, the Wolves brought in veteran forward Anthony Tolliver as a free agent.

Tolliver spent last season with the Detroit Pistons, where he played quite well in his limited role. He averaged 8.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game while shooting an outstanding 43.6 percent from 3-point range.

Who knows what kind of a role Tolliver will play for the Wolves. Thibs isn’t exactly known for giving a lot of minutes to bench guys. For a team that needs depth and shooting, however, Tolliver should fit in nicely.

He’s also 33 years old so should the Wolves make the playoffs again, he’ll be a nice guy to have in the locker room or on the court when things get dicey.

Tolliver will also be a good guy to have around young wings like Keita Bates-Diop, Josh Okogie and Andrew Wiggins.

Grade: B+
