1. Stay healthy

In his career, Bullock has never played more than 62 games in a season. He’s also only played more than 40 games twice. Bullock has great talent if he can stay on the floor. However, even in this semi-breakout season, he only played 62 games.

While Bullock can be one of the top 3-and-D wings in the NBA at his peak, he needs to stay healthy to show that. His skills don’t do much good sitting on the bench.

This Pistons team is going to deal with injury issues this season, especially with Griffin and Jackson on this team. They will need Bullock to carry a larger share of the load at times, but he has to be available in order to do that.

He won’t be asked to lead the team or be the best defender, but he needs to be healthy to accept the role he’ll be given. Casey trusts his wings to take on big roles, and Bullock can do that.

Another important reason for him to stay healthy is that it will raise his payday this offseason. Teams don’t want to pay for injured players, no matter their level of production.

If Bullock shoots 50 percent from 3-point range, while being a great defensive player but only plays 40 games, he’ll lose a ton of money. Bullock wants to get paid in 2019, and he’ll need to stay healthy to add another zero at the end of his check.
